You may have heard Pantone recently announced their Colour of the Year 2022, PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri, ‘a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet red undertone blends the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red.’ You also might be thinking this doesn’t mean anything, but these colours influence us all more than we think. The Pantone Matching System is the definitive colour identification reference, used by industries including fashion, graphics and printing. Very Peri is a shade of blue/purple that has become incredibly popular in clothes, cinema and art and we’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of it.

A more toned-down version of Very Peri, but still in the same family, is the beautiful Lavender shade. WGSN has predicted this colour to be all the rage still in 2022, after being very popular in 2021, especially when researching into trends for Baby and Toddler Colour and Print trends for 2022. Soft pastels and nostalgic tones are ones to go for this year.

2022 is also predicting a light pastel, buttery shade of yellow to be on trend.
