Jellycat Dogs

PSSSST: Have you peeped our personalised Jellycat dogs collection yet? Well today is International Dog Day, and not to boast but we have the perfect gift for your best friend – and it’s waiting for you!

International Dog Day is celebrated on 26th August each year. Of course we all want to spoil our furry friends all the time, but this is a day dedicated just for them! As dog lovers ourselves, we wanted to provide the cutest, special gift you could give to your mini best friend, or to someone who just loves dogs! We have some great Jellycat dogs who would love to be a new member of your family, so read on to check them out!

History of International Dog Day

Animal advocate Colleen Paige founded National Dog Day in the United States in 2004. It was adopted into legislation in the state of New York in 2013. She choose August 26th as it was the date she adopted her first dog, when she was only 10 years old.

Jellycat Bashful Terrier

Bashful Terrier is raring to go with floppy ears and cocoa patches! If you’ve got a stick, ball or frisbee to throw, they’ll be off in flash. Who cares about ponds or mud? Best keep that soft vanilla fur and liquorice nose clean though! After all, this perky-tailed puppy likes a cuddle! By adding our original and unique personalised jumper to Terrier Puppy, That’s mine have created the perfect classic keepsake! A lovely puppy in a lovely jumper!

Jellycat Bashful Fudge

Bashful Fudge Puppy loves trotting along and snuffling about for sticks! A cocoa-cream spaniel with rumply ears, a podgy tum and long tufty paws, this poppet pup loves sharing big hugs. A loyal pal and a perfect present.

Jellycat Bashful Toffee

Bashful Toffee Puppy is a gorgeous retriever, but he’s still learning how to spell that! This supercute, soft little pup wants to be a guide dog when he grows up. He loves to help people and make friends, almost as much as he loves a tickle behind those toffee ears! Waggy, wide-eyed and wonderful.

Other ways to celebrate International Dog Day

  • Adopt a dog from a local shelter – lots of amazing dogs are looking for a home, so the most helpful thing to do is to adopt one of your own!
  • Volunteer at a local shelter – if adopting might not be right for you, then even just giving a local shelter a helping hand would be a great way to celebrate.
  • Spoil your dog with something new – options above!
  • Have a dog date with a friend and their dog – treat your dog to a fun day out.
