Last weekend, the That’s mine van was packed up and headed out to Astley Park, in Astley Village, Chorley, for the annual Derian House Winter Sparkle Christmas markets. As it is our third year attending, we were so happy to have a market stall and contribute to an amazing cause. It was fantastic to see so many people attend, enjoy themselves and enjoy our products!
We chose a select amount of our items (so many to choose from) to exhibit on our stall, so everyone could see the variety we have and how each product would look personalised. Thanks to all our friendly customers yesterday and the people who placed personalised orders! Our well-known personalised Jellycat bunnies and Ziggle bibs were extremely popular.
The markets were full of food, drinks, Christmas trinkets and gifts for the family, and there were also lots of activities for everyone to enjoy, including face painting, playgrounds for children, characters like Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Frozen, a chance to meet Santa and even a Punch and Judy show! It was perfect for a family day out. This year it was actually recorded as the busiest Winter Sparkle market show, as around 10,000 people showed up throughout the day to look around and celebrate the festivities.
It was incredible to see so many people there, especially as the purpose for the event is such an important one. Derian House is a children’s hospice that provides respite and end of life care to more than 300 children and young people across the North West, making happy memories in an environment of fun, respect and high-quality care. Their ethos is to make sure that every child and young person who comes to Derian is able to make the very most of the time they have. This year Derian House celebrates 25 years of hospice care, and continue to ensure the best practice and care for children and young people.
The Winter Sparkle markets were so successful and we loved our day there. If you would like to learn more about Derian House or would like to get involved, follow these links here:
